What it does on the buttocks
The large applicators strapped over each buttock make the gluteal muscles contract in strong, rapid pulses through the 30-minute session with HIFEM energy, at an intensity squats cannot reach, while synchronised radiofrequency heats the tissue. The muscle thickens with repetition, and the bottom firms and tones. In our experience people come for a flat bottom or one that has lost tone with age or weight loss.
What the study measured
In a 2023 study of the buttocks with four sessions, the gluteal muscle was about 25% thicker with the combined energies against about 16% with the muscle energy alone, measured in 27 patients per group at three months.
Who it suits
Someone whose bottom has lost tone, of any skin type: the buttocks are a muscle-toning area, so the skin-type limits of the fat clearance do not apply.
